• Blocking pins (blocking is essential)

p : purl

co : cast on

st : stitche

sts : stitches

kfb : knit the same st from de front and the back loop

bo : bind off

The shawl is in 3 sections. The first is done only once to start the shawl and the other two are alternating. Do not worry if the first section is not perfectly flat, it will be placed at the blocking.” Thank you  purlingqueenie!

Section 1 : Set-up 

Co 5 sts.

Row 1 :  k 1, kfb (3 times), k 1.  You have 8 sts on the needle.

Row 2 : k.

Row 3 : k 1, kfb (6 times), k 1. You have 14 sts on the needle

Row 4 : k.

Rows 5 - 10, k 2, kfb, k2, kfb, k to the end.

You have 26 sts on the needle

part 2 : Lace

Rows 1,3,5,7 : k 3, yo , *knit 2 together, yo *, repeat * to * until 3 sts remain. k 3.

Rows 2,4,6 : k 2, kfb, p until 3 sts remain. k 3.

Row 8 : k 2, kfb, k

part 3 : gather stitch

Rows 1 to 8 : k2, kfb, k2, kfb, k

Alternate part 2 and 3 

Bind off

k1, *yo, k1. Bo 2*. Repeat  ** until 1 st remains on right needle, cut yarn.
